Cognitive Behavioral Therapy
The CBT’s are firmly grounded in research findings and include helping individuals change the way they think, feel or behave. CBT is generally a short term collaborative process which teaches skills and requires between session assignments. Over 30 years of controlled research have attested to their efficacy in treating a broad range of human conditions. Examples of specific methods used include desensitization, cognitive restructuring, assertiveness training, relaxation methods.
